This week at VOH Kenya, we held our Early Childhood Development graduation ceremony. All the teachers, students, and guardians came to honour the students. The 15 children who graduated will be joining us in January as Grade 1 students. Congratulations, ECD grads!
Chongwe: Learning to Bake
This week at VOH Chongwe the mothers in the homes took special time to teach their children on how to bake. The kids had a lot of fun and enjoyed tasting the cookies and scones that they made. We appreciate our moms and the passion and care that they provide to our children!
Kitwe: Independence Day!
At VOH Kitwe we had a great time celebrating Independence Day with our children. During the celebration, the children showcased some of their talents to the amazement of the staff. Some were awarded for their hard work in school to encourage them, and later they all received refreshments. It was an exciting time for everyone!
Mongu: Clothing Donation!
VOH Mongu was so blessed to receive a donation of clothes and shoes for our kiddos this past week. Children grow quickly and some were in pretty great need. The donation was full of short pants, skirts, shirts, and shoes, these clothes were and will continue to be a huge blessing to our kids. Thank you to all of our friends who that made this possible!
Mwanza: New Dance Club
At VOH Mwanza a few of our children have been practising their dance moves in our newly formed Dance Club! They meet once a week to practice and learn.
Of course, it’s about more than just learning how to dance; they learn how to work together as a team, to be disciplined and to challenge themselves all while having a lot of fun!
