Each pack costs $25 and contains a variety of gifts including books, clothing, and candy.
We’ve already raised over $65,000 towards our $75,000 goal!

VOH Bulale (Tanzania): Christmas Food Hampers
This week at VOH Bulale, we distributed food hampers to the parents and guardians of our children. These hampers will ensure our community children have something on the table during Christmas.
Due to their families’ financial constraints, a lot of the children live with food insecurity. These hampers will make a tremendous difference by bringing the spirit of giving right into their homes.

VOH Bwiza (Burundi): Decorating for Christmas
Christmas is around the corner, and at VOH Bwiza, we are counting down the days!
This week, the children are busy decorating our Christmas tree. The children understand that Christmas is special for Christians as it reminds us of Jesus’s birth. They are filled with joy and excitement as they prepare for the big day.
On December 23rd, we will all get together to celebrate at our centre. After three years of not gathering due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be wonderful to all be together for the holiday.

VOH Chongwe (Zambia): Ready for Christmas
The children of VOH Chongwe are excited about the Christmas season. It’s a beautiful time for them to gather, spread goodwill, and celebrate God’s immense love.
The children always look forward to receiving small gifts, including candy, balloons and toys. Small as they may be, these gifts always put a big smile on their faces.
This year, the children also received food hampers for themselves and their families so they can enjoy a Christmas meal together. The hampers contained maize meal, cooking oil, sugar, salt and a chicken.
We are so grateful to our donors and sponsors who help us look after these beautiful children year after year. From all of us at VOH Chongwe, we wish you a very merry Christmas!
VOH Kitwe (Zambia): Christmas Food Hampers
Christmas is a time of giving and sharing. This week, the children from VOH Kitwe received food hampers for themselves and their families.
Each hamper included a chicken, a bag of mealie meal, a bottle of cooking oil, sugar, salt, bath soap, biscuits and sweets. The parents who accompanied the children to get their hampers were very grateful as they witnessed the distribution and the joy it brought their children.
Looking at the cost of living in Zambia, even buying a bag of mealie meal and a chicken is a big deal to most families in our surrounding communities as most of them are unemployed. These food hampers will allow our children to enjoy a Christmas meal with their families.
We are so grateful we can bless the children with these hampers. It meant a lot to them and their families.

VOH Luongo (Zambia): Christmas Story Time
The festive season is here again, and it’s time to spread and receive love.
This week at VOH Luongo, the children love hearing stories, so one of the teachers read a story about the Grinch, why he hated Christmas and why he decided to love Christmas again.
The children were so attentive during the story. In response, they said that one thing they learnt was that Christmas giving should come straight from the heart and should be received with an open heart.
This holiday spirit of giving is why we are so grateful to be able to gift our children with food hampers for themselves and their families. The children were so excited when they received their hampers!

VOH Malawi: Packing Food Hampers
This week at VOH Malawi, the spirit of Christmas is alive as we kick off preparations for the festive season.
Our annual tradition of providing food hampers to all the children in our program is underway. With just two weeks until we close the centre for the Christmas holidays, the team is busy packing essential food items that will bring joy to the kids and their families.
A heartening collaboration has unfolded, with staff from all departments coming together to pack the food items efficiently. This collective effort enhances the effectiveness of the task, and we eagerly anticipate distributing these gifts to the children.
The hampers include staples like rice, beans, cooking oil, salt, sugar, and soy. This year, we are particularly excited about having the resources to bless the children with these gifts, knowing that they will support their families over the holidays.

VOH Maramvya (Burundi): Preparing for Christmas
As the Christmas holiday approaches, the atmosphere at VOH Maramvya is filled with excitement and anticipation.
This week, the staff and volunteers have been working tirelessly to ensure the children experience a joyous Christmas and holiday full of love. They have been busy purchasing items for our Christmas celebration, which is fast approaching.
The children are ecstatic to be part of the team decorating the rooms for Christmas. They happily participate by making decorations like handmade drawings and festive banners.
In addition, the children have also started practicing some Christmas skits and games to showcase their talents.
Amidst the holiday excitement, the children are also writing their end-of-term exams. We know they will do well!

In the days leading up to Christmas, there’s an undeniable buzz of energy as preparations commence within the children’s homes. With beaming smiles, the children eagerly craft decorations and create special Christmas-themed artwork, infusing the atmosphere with their creativity and enthusiasm.
The spirit of togetherness permeates every activity at the homes during the holiday season. They engage in various activities, from singing carols to talking through the story of Jesus’ birth, embodying the true essence of Christmas.

VOH Mwanza (Tanzania): Christmas Party Preparation
Get ready for the magic of Christmas at VOH Mwanza! Our decorations are up, and the festive vibes are kicking in as we prepare for our Christmas party.
The children and youth are busy rehearsing as they prepare for presentations of dances, skits, songs and many other fun activities for our Christmas party. The party will include VOH staff, children, and a few special guests. The excitement is contagious, and we’re eagerly counting down to the big celebration.
As we celebrate this, our hearts are full of gratitude for all who have donated to our ministry, making a lasting difference in the lives of our precious children.

VOH Zimbabwe: Visit from Santa
The children of VOH Zimbabwe are already in the Christmas mood and looking forward to celebrations with various local partners who come and throw parties for them.
Recently, they got a visit from Santa! He usually brings along goodies that children look forward to and appreciate.
