Thanks for support us for #GivingTuesday!
For #GivingTuesday this year, we are raising funds to support of our 2018 Preschool Program
The funds will go towards enrollment for our 2018 Preschool Program, which provides basic care for the children in our preschool by offering free education, a daily feeding program, and access to healthcare.
Thanks to you, we’ve already raised $1,700! We’ll be keeping our campaign up throughout the weekend, so there’s still time if you’d like to donate.
You can support our campaign using this form:

Thank you for your support!
Kitwe: Donated Books!
The Beit Trust Foundation (in collaboration with the British High Commission) blessed VOH Kitwe recently with a donation of books. The children, vice principal, and Librarian celebrated when the donation arrived. The books will be placed in the extended library that the Beit Trust funded to build. These books will go a long way in supporting our children with their reading skills!
Burundi: Thierry’s Transformation
VOH Burundi is so proud to see the transformation in Thierry’s life! Theirry’s mother left him locked up in the house and abandoned him when he was young. The neighbours heard him crying for a long time and finally forced open the front door and found poor Theirry alone and scared.
A lady from the community took Theirry in and cared for him for 5 years. Life was still difficult, though, as the lady didn’t have any source of income. Fortunately, she heard about VOH and came into contact with us. We welcomed Thierry into our community with open arms!
Now, Thierry is a blossoming teenager who lives in one of the children’s homes at VOH Burundi. He loves life and is always smiling!
Chongwe: Child Health Week
It’s Child Health week again at VOH Chongwe! Caring for the child holistically is what we love doing at VOH Chongwe. This week our Clinic Post is offering the health services to our resident kids and the surrounding community at large, working with the Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health has an annual calendar of activities targeting the children between ages 6 months and 5 Years. During health week, the children are weighed, dewormed, given Vitamin A, and brought up to date on their vaccines. Taking care of our children’s health is a top priority, which is why this week is so important to us.
Malawi: We Purchased Land!
This week at VOH Malawi we are excited to announce that we have now purchased our own piece of land right in the heart of Kauma Village! Kauma Village has become the main site for VOH Malawi ministry over the last 2 years through an excellent partnership with a local church there. However, we have outgrown the confines of the local church and have been actively looking for a plot of our own.
We now have it! 3 acres of excellent land right in the heart of the community. This will make it very easy for the children to access our campus no matter where they live in the neighbourhood.
We thank God for this amazing development in our work at VOH Malawi!
Mwanza: Gifts from Sponsors
Jeremiah and Ashley, from VOH Mwanza, were so excited to receive small gifts from their new sponsors! It truly made their day and they can’t wait to write thank you letters back.
You too can sponsor a VOH child and bring this kind of joy in their life by visiting vohafrica.com/child-sponsorship
Zimbabwe: New Baby Chicks!
Recently VOH Zimbabwe was blessed by a donation of chicks from a Barklay’s bank. As part of the donation, they will also be back to teach the youth how to raise chickens. They also donated enough feed to raise the boilers to full maturity.
