Tell us a bit about your life and how you came to Village of Hope…
I was only a young girl of seven years when I first heard about Village Of Hope. I did not have any church that I attended but when my friend told me about Village Of Hope I started going there to church. That was in 2002.
I also went to an after-school program that was held at VOH. This was an educational program, and it helped me a lot. I enjoy singing and I was allowed to lead a song in church at Sunday school and everyone loved it.
In 2008 I was accepted to attend school at Village of Hope after 6 years of learning at a government school.
I thank God for VOH, that is where I graduated.
What are you doing now and what are your plans for the future?
I am now taking a course on tourism and hospitality at Mt Hampden Training centre. After writing my exams I will go for an internship for a year and then I will be awareded a National Certificate and be able to look for a job in the industry.
How has Village of Hope helped you?
Our youth pastor taught us how to use our talents and work for God. This helped me a lot because now I am a praise and worship leader at Mount Pleasant Heights and I am ministering for the Lord.
I am now a greater person compared to who I was before coming to Village Of Hope.
While at Village of Hope I was encouraged to use my talents. I am a better person today because of the things I learned at Village of Hope
