VOH Zimbabwe’s Hope Community Church was blessed on Palm Sunday when the children were given the opportunity to lead the service. Pastor Zowa reports that “it was overwhelming…it was amazing. The children directed the service, did the ushering, led praise and worship and played the musical instruments.”
It was a Palm Sunday to remember as the kids presented a musical drama presentation depicting The Passion Week beginning with the triumphal entry.
After the drama one young child led everyone in a song declaring the goodness and grace of God.
Pastor Zowa sees this opportunity given to the children as one way to fulfill the mandate of Village of Hope to train up Godly children.
“When we see adults able to respond and affirm the ministry of children and youth it becomes easier to encourage them in their faith, it is just great!”
Palm Sunday was also the highest attendance to date of parents and guardians from the community, as they came to watch their children participating in the service.
Holistic transformation happens when we show by both words and actions that we value children and youth. Spiritual discipleship is a key part of what we do at the Village Of Hope!
