Government Shows Support of VOH Mwanza
VOH-Mwanza received a large donation from the Tanzania Revenue Authority. Included in the donation were exercise books, pens, cooking oil, sugar, rice, corn flour, beans, juice, and biscuits! The children and the TRA staff were happy to exchange greetings while receiving this generous gift.
It is encouraging to see government authorities take action and help in this way for their country’s vulnerable children!

Executive Director Visits VOH Burundi
This week VOH-Burundi staff were happy to welcome Executive Director, Sergio Bersaglio. We all had a great time together and reviewed important issues about caring for our children and helping them heal from hurts of the past.
One of the highlights was more training on our Child Protection Policy. We discussed how important it is that we protect the children physically and emotionally and that our goal is to “Bring Hope for Today, Tomorrow and Eternity.”
School Supplies for VOH Chongwe!
The children at VOH-Chongwe are happy and thankful for the school supplies they recently received from Canada! These types of fun and educational materials are not available for us locally, and are a huge blessing for the children and as well as the teachers.

Solar Power for VOH Kenya
VOH-Kenya was recently blessed with funds that allowed us to purchase a solar charger system for the office. The Village will now be able to use their computers and have internet at the office, which will make a huge difference for everyone!

VOH Kitwe Visits Local Church
Last Sunday some VOH-Kitwe youth along with Village Director, Everlyn Chitente, visited a local church to minister in song and to perform a skit. The church has visited VOH Kitwe in the past and has been a real blessing and the children and youth asked if they could go and visit them in return as a way to say thank you!
The congregation was very impressed and made lots of joyful noise during our presentation.

New Generator for VOH Mongu
VOH-Mongu is thrilled that a Canadian church has responded to the need for us to purchase a generator so that incubators, water and other medical equipment at Save a Life Center will still always be available during the many times that local power supply is not.
The generator will also ensure consistent power supply to the children’s homes and school. We are so thankful for the many people who come alongside and help meet the many needs of operating a Village of Hope and caring for so many children
