At the end of 2024, we once again ran our Christmas Hope Packs campaign – raising funds to purchase Christmas gifts for the children at our VOH centres.
Christmas in March?
A lot goes into running an international gift campaign. First we have to raise the funds, then we have to send the funds overseas [insert boring bank details], then the centres have to shop for the gifts followed by wrapping them all, which takes thought, time, and care. And then the distribution day needs to be scheduled, planned and prepped for, and then executed.

Finally, in order to share the beautiful photos we’re sharing today, centres need to view, edit, and select their photos, send them back to our digital team who then gathers and prepares everything [insert boring tech steps] so it can all go full circle back to YOU (the one reading this post).

VOH Tanzania (Bulale & Mwanza)
VOH Tanzania was so grateful to once again receive Hope Packs for our children. These special packs contained both fun and essential items, making a meaningful impact on the children’s daily lives.
Through these gift packs, we were able to provide each child with toys, books, sunglasses, water bottles, school supplies, and more.
The excitement was evident as the children eagerly unwrapped their gifts. The water bottles were a favourite; now, every child can stay hydrated throughout the day without having to go to our water stations.
Moments like these remind us of the power of kindness and generosity. Each gift carries a message of hope and love, reinforcing the sense of community and care that we strive to provide.

VOH Zimbabwe
At VOH Zimbabwe, the joy on the children’s faces was undeniable as they received their Christmas Hope Packs during a heartwarming distribution event.
The event, filled with excitement and gratitude, saw young students eagerly collecting their presents, which included a combination of practical and thoughtful items.
Each child beamed with happiness as they held their gifts close, a clear reflection of their appreciation. This act of generosity goes beyond the simple exchange of gifts—it serves as a powerful reminder to these children that they are seen, valued, and supported.
For many, these gifts are not just festive treats but essential items that will aid them in their daily lives.
Acts of kindness like these serve as a reminder to the children that they are loved and valued.

VOH Kitwe
The children at VOH Kitwe were filled with joy when they were told that their Christmas Hope Packs were ready for distribution.
Each child received a gift bag filled with fun and useful items, such as toys, candy, books, crayons, and more.
The children expressed their deep gratitude for the thoughtful presents they received, with many of them mentioning that they got exactly what they had hoped for.
The children’s parents and guardians were also invited to join in the celebration, and they were extremely happy and thankful for the joy their children experienced.
We are so grateful to our donors for making this day special and for bringing smiles to the children’s faces!
VOH Mongu
Christmas Hope Packs were once again a massive blessing to the children at VOH Mongu, bringing joy and excitement to every child who received one.
It was a truly special experience to distribute these gifts, knowing that each pack represented love, care, and the reminder that every child is valuable—not just to us but also to God.
Every child in our school, children’s homes, Save A Life center, and Champions Club received a pack, ensuring that no one was left out.
Seeing the smiles on their faces as they opened their Hope Packs was a beautiful reflection of the generosity and kindness that made this possible. These packs are tangible expressions of hope, reminding each child that they are seen, loved, and worthy.
In a world where many children go without, moments like these are powerful reminders of the impact that generosity and compassion can have on a young life.

VOH Chongwe
The children at VOH Chongwe were very excited and grateful to receive their Christmas Hope Packs!
Many of the children couldn’t wait to see what was in their backpacks, and when the moment to open and see came, the euphoria was beautiful to witness.
The children felt very special and very much a part of the VOH Africa family. We are so grateful we can share these joy-filled moments with the children.
On behalf of all the children, we want to thank the donors who decided to bless them this year with such lovely gifts.
VOH Luongo
The children of VOH Luongo were filled with joy as they received their Christmas Hope Packs, which included toys, soccer balls, clothing, sweets, and more!
It was heartwarming to see the children’s excitement and gratitude. The children’s parents also expressed their appreciation for the generous gifts.

VOH Malawi
At VOH Malawi, Hope Pack Day is always a day full of smiles, excitement, and celebration!
Receiving the Hope Pack is a special moment for every VOH child. It gives them the joy of receiving a gift from someone who cares about them.
For many of our children’s guardians, financial struggles can make it challenging to provide such gifts despite their hard work and dedication to caring for their families. That’s why this day is also a moment of joy for guardians as they witness the happiness on their children’s faces.
Each Hope Pack reminds the children that they are loved, valued, and supported not just within their community but also by the generous hearts of sponsors and donors from abroad.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to making this possible. Your generosity is a true blessing, and it brings hope and happiness to the children of VOH Malawi.
