Support VOH for #GivingTuesday!
What is #GivingTuesday? Giving Tuesday is a global giving movement. Millions of people come together on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (American) and Black Friday weekend to support and champion causes they believe in.
When is Giving Tuesday? This Tuesday (Nov 28th)!
We’ve set a goal to raise $5,000 in support of our 2018 Preschool Program
The funds will go towards enrollment for our 2018 Preschool Program, which provides basic care for the children in our preschool by offering free education, a daily feeding program, and access to healthcare.
You can support our campaign using this form:

Thank you for your support!
Burundi: Meet Ange
VOH Burundi would like to introduce Ange. It is such a blessing to see the young woman that she has become through the work of VOH.
Ange is a single orphan who lives with her mother. When her father passed away, her mother struggled so much and was unable to look after her and meet her primary needs. Desperate, her mother came to meet with VOH and from that day, Ange’s whole story changed.
From a sad unfortunate little girl, she has become a wonderful young girl committed to school and God. She is the elected leader of the VOH Children’s committee. We thank God for the work He is doing in children’s lives through VOH!
Chongwe: Greenhouse Gardening
Three months ago at VOH Chongwe, our first plants were put in the soil in our greenhouse. Because of the good control system of the greenhouse the plants are growing very well and have already started producing healthy vegetables. We will have enough tomatoes for four months and green peppers for three months, allowing us to harvest every week of the three and four months. In addition to supplying the children’s homes, the produce will also be sold to staff and the nearby markets and funds go back into our agricultural program.
Kitwe: Learning about Agriculture
At VOH Kitwe we teach our students hands-on experience and guidance in agriculture to prepare them for further education and the possibility of jobs. Our agricultural program also provides food for our homes and the opportunity to provide income by selling the extra produce.
Mongu: Nyambe’s Transformation
Meet Nyambe. Nyambe joined our VOH Mongu children’s homes in 2013 after her mother passed away. When she joined our homes, Nyambe was severely malnourished, too weak to walk even the two steps up to her new home. She was very withdrawn and showed no interest in playing with others or with any toys.
After just a few months, her health and her demeanour drastically changed! She is now 9 years old, loves school, and loves to play with the other young girls in the homes. She is often found skipping rope in front of the homes. She is such a blessing to have in our Homes!
Mwanza: Exam Preparation
At VOH Mwanza we recently held a special chapel service for our Grade 4 students who will be starting their National Exams. Our students are studying hard and our teachers are working hard to prepare them. At the service, we encouraged the students to work hard and prayed for success for good exam results for each one of them.
Zimbabwe: Meet Joseph
Joseph came to VOH Zimbabwe at the age of 8. He is now 17 years old and throughout his life at the Village Of Hope, he has demonstrated a keen desire to work with his hands. The Administration has been helping him by giving him opportunities to help around the Village, using his personal interests and skills.
Joseph will jump at any opportunity to offer a helping hand and the more challenging the job, the happier he is! Currently, Joseph is helping build 16 open cupboards for our school’s classrooms.
