New Building at VOH Malawi
We have a new building structure at VOH Malawi. Until now, when visitors came we didn’t have a place for them to sit and visit out of the sun. Now this new building provides both for our guests and also gives staff a place to have their lunch together. The building was constructed by two of our part-time staff; they did a great job and everyone is happy with this new addition to the Village. We welcome you to drop by!

New Classes at VOH Kenya
Last Monday was the first day of the new school year at VOH Kenya. We are very excited to add a new grade 8 class to the school with many students who are eager to get back to their classes, friends, and teachers. We would also like to introduce you to 25 new members of the school in the Nursery class – these kids are between the ages of 3 and 5, and we are so happy to welcome them to the family!

VOH Burundi Baptism
At a recent water baptismal service, Pastor Delson Niyimpaye was happy that several VOH Burundi children were baptized along with others from the local church community.
VOH Kitwe Christmas Party!
VOH Kitwe students from preschool to grade 2 were invited for the third year in a row to a Christmas party hosted by a local ministry. The hosts serve food throughout the year to people who are needy in the Chimwemwe township, which neighbors VOH Kitwe, and at Christmas time, schools caring for orphans and vulnerable children in the area are invited to send students to share a meal together with other children from the surrounding community. The children look forward to this event each year and we are thankful to be included in this local initiative!

ICYMI: Where Are They Now? Sam & Georgina
Both Sam & Georgina were given the opportunity after graduating from Business College to work their internships in the office at VOH Kitwe. Samuel moved to Chongwe at the end of 2010 and began serving as administrative assistant for the Chongwe Village. Georgina recently moved to Chongwe as well and among their other tasks, both are doing bookkeeping for several of the other Village of Hope locations… Read Here
