Sports Day at VOH Burundi
Last week Village of Hope Burundi held sports day. Two year old Enock joined the older children for all of the activities. Enock was born as a result of his 16 year old mother being raped. His mother is also an orphan but is so thankful that VOH is bringing hope to her and to little Enock. Thanks to the care that Enock is receiving from Village of Hope he is very healthy, energetic and full of life!

Children’s Choir Ministry at VOH Burundi
Bernadette, Village of Hope Malawi’s school administrator, has started up a choir with the kids from the Village and once a month, they sing at local churches to minister to those attending. While they are at the churches they also have the opportunity to share the vision of Village of Hope. Everyone loves to hear them sing and the children have a great time!
Clothing Donation at VOH Mongu!
The children at VOH Mongu recently received a donation of new clothing. They were so excited with the donation and wanted to have their pictures taken in their new outfits. Donations like these are a huge help to Villages of Hope as we care for the children and they are always very grateful to receive them!

Board Members of Local Church visit VOH Kitwe
Board Members from a church in Chililabombwe, a small town not far from VOH Kitwe, came by for a visit last week. They brought gifts for the Village and said that one of the reasons for their visit was to find out what the needs of the Village are so that they could present them to their church and return with more donations of goods for the children. We had a great time together; there are always celebrations and lots of good feelings at the village when we receive visitors!

Stories from Save a Life Center
Meet adorable 2 month old little Simasiqu who has recently joined our Save a Life program for malnourished children at VOH Mongu. Sadly Simasiqu’s Mother fell sick while pregnant and passed away just a few hours after giving birth. His Grandmother is now taking care of little Simasiqu and sells firewood to provide food for him.
Simasiqu’s Grandmother stays in a village called Shangombo which is far out of Mongo. She has decided to move closer to our clinic to bring her grandson to our program every week and receive the correct care and food for him. Simasiqu currently weighs 2.82kg.
