VOH Kitwe Staff Appreciation Day

It was an exciting time of fellowship at VOH Kitwe’s annual Staff Appreciation Party!

We celebrated and recognized our staff members, and are thankful for our staff who are exemplary in their work. We are blessed to have staff who share Village of Hope’s mission to care for orphans and vulnerable children in our community.

At the same time, we were saying farewell to one of the Mothers who has reached retirement. Mother Agness Yamba is finishing this year after being at VOH Kitwe for 10 years.

She had this to say:

“I thank God for having accorded me the opportunity to serve with the VOH team. I enjoyed raising the children, many who now have grown and are good citizens in the society.”

She further encouraged members of staff to continue executing their duties diligently and to continue to help the children in their care with passion and commitment.

The occasion took place near the Village of Hope, where we were all able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and have a meal together. In our company, we had the youngest children join us, they were a good reminder of why we are at Village of Hope.

Every speech made was referring to unity of purpose as we serve God at VOH. The atmosphere was very jovial as we celebrated each other’s contributions to the ministry of VOH.

In addition to looking after over 3000 orphans and vulnerable children in 8 locations, we also employ over 325 staff. This employment is a blessing to them as it allows them to provide for their families and as a result empowers those in the communities that surround the various Villages of Hope locations.
